DEVOTION IS BUSINESS HERE

A certain Ashram with international operations, recently conducted an exhibition of twelve Sivalingas reverently brought from different places. Lots of devotees came to see and to worship these lingas. The association claimed that this was helpful as devotees could worship these Sivalingas without going to distant places thereby undertaking long journeys.
Reading these I am tempted to ask the following:
If this was really devotion, then why should people go to Kasi, Hardwar or other holy places? All divine idols from temples across the Country could be brought to any place according to the convenience of the people or the organizers. The organizers could as well create different sites too.
Obviously, these organizations are making money by encasing the blind beliefs of the people who flock in. Don’t we have any law to ban these types of activities?
